Nancy Isime’s Loving Itohan now has a trailer and an announced Nigerian cinema date of November 6, 2026. The project puts her in two prominent positions: leading the cast and serving as executive producer on a feature that introduces a woman facing difficult choices about love and hidden truths.

BellaNaija’s first-look report credits Orobosa Ikponmwen as director and Emmanuel Izuoba as producer. Alongside Isime, the cast includes Uzor Arukwe, Martha Ehinome Orhiere, Dorathy Bachor, Chioma Nwosu, Obehi Aburime and Grace Coker. The trailer campaign is the current development; the film itself has not yet reached the announced general-release date.

The shift into an executive-producing role makes the release interesting beyond its central romance. An actor’s visible work is the performance an audience sees. Producing brings the less visible questions of getting a project organised, supported and delivered into the same career. The exact responsibilities behind an executive-producer credit vary by production, so the credit alone should not be used to invent a financing arrangement. What is clear is that Isime is presenting this film as a project she has helped bring into being.

A story built around difficult knowledge

The published premise describes Itohan as a woman whose emotional world is disrupted as secrets emerge. That setup can generate more than a simple choice between two romantic options. A relationship drama becomes compelling when a discovery changes what somebody understands about earlier decisions, and when acting on the new information carries a cost.

The trailer is an invitation into that tension, not a complete explanation of it. Promotional editing often places an emotionally charged line beside a reaction from another part of a film. That can communicate the mood while preserving the actual chain of events. Viewers hoping to arrive without major spoilers can stop at the official first look rather than search for unverified accounts of the ending.

The ensemble also gives the story room to move beyond the lead couple. Family members, friends and other figures can make a private decision feel socially complicated. The useful question when the film arrives will be whether those people have their own reasons for acting, rather than merely appearing to push the protagonist towards the next confrontation.

The craft behind the campaign

The release photographs include traditional Edo wedding styling, bringing a recognisable cultural texture into the publicity. A costume can tell a viewer about ceremony, family expectations and the kind of occasion in which a character is being seen. Its narrative meaning, however, comes from the film around it. A promotional photograph is not enough to establish a character’s final relationship status or the outcome of the story.

For Nollywood followers, November 6 is the date to place beside the title while watching for official cinema listings. Availability will depend on the actual programme in each location. It is worth checking the classification and screening time as part of planning an outing, especially when several films are opening around the same period.

Loving Itohan offers a clear reason to follow the next stage of Isime’s work: it connects a familiar screen presence with a new producing milestone and a substantial ensemble. The trailer has introduced the emotional stakes. The feature will have to earn the rest through its characters, performances and the way its revelations change the choices Itohan can make.
